On the immigration side, an official ICE inspection snippet listed a fiscal year 2021 average daily population of just 3 detainees at the facility, a reminder that the ICE count is a small population kept separate from the county criminal count.

About the Naples Jail Center

Federal inspection records give the building's history. ICE Office of Detention Oversight material says the Naples Jail Center opened in 1985, is owned by Collier County, and is operated by the Sheriff's Office. ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations began housing detainees there in 2007 under ERO Miami, and the facility runs under the 2019 ICE National Detention Standards for that population. The same records name Summit Food Services for food, Armor Correctional Health Services for medical care, and Oasis Commissary for commissary, with accreditation from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care.
